ADVENTURE & EXPLORE
Situated on beautiful Bundjalung Country, there is so much nature to explore in Byron Bay and surrounds.
Take yourself for a morning walk up to the famous Cape Byron (Walgun) lighthouse situated on Australia’s most easterly point – keep an eye out for whales, dolphins and the odd turtle. Back down at sea level, The Pass awaits with crystal clear water and some of the best waves for both beginner and experienced surfers. Heading out of town, you can’t miss a stop at The Farm – home to Bread Social bakery, Three Blue Ducks, Baylato, Poppy & Fern flowers, Worm Ticklers, and the cutest farm animals you’ll ever meet. Zephyr Horses offers unique trail rides that take you through stunning coastal flora and fauna. Leave the saltwater behind and head inland to explore the hinterland’s many waterfalls and bushwalks. Killen Falls is a 1km return bush walk from the carpark and is a beautiful spot for a freshwater swim, or head to the top of Goonengerry falls in Goonengerry National Park where you’ll find waterholes overlooking the lush green Wanganui Gorge.
WAKE UP & CAFFEINATE
There’s no shortage of incredible coffee and breakfast options in Byron Bay and surrounds.
The Bluewater local, Treehouse at Belongil is just minutes walk from your cottage for beautiful coffee and quick brekkie snacks. For a nourishing house made and homegrown menu in a garden setting, take a trip down the road to Folk. Or head further into the North Byron Precinct for plant-based cafe and providore, Vagabond. Back in Byron township, you’ll find the ever popular Bayleaf, famous for its seasonal menu and signature drinks. If you're heading into the hinterland for the day, make a morning stop at Woods in Bangalow or Harvest in Newrybar.
WINE & DINE
Wash off the sand and slip into some evening attire for a night of great food and even better drinks.
Walking distance from your cottage is Belongil Beach Italian, the first Byron Bay venue of Sydney restaurateur Maurice Terzini. Head into town to Bang Bang, the perfect destination for modern asian cuisine and eclectic cocktails. Or book a table at Pixie, one of Byron’s newest hospitality venues, for a stunning fit-out and a Sicilian-inspired menu. Also in Byron town is Karkalla, the creation of Bundjalung chef Mindy Woods, which serves up incredible dishes featuring native ingredients like kangaroo and saltbush. Kouzina in the Byron Arts & Industrial Estate is a quaint greek restaurant serving up a set menu each night. And last but definitely not least, venture to Bangalow and settle into You Beauty for a classic corner pub experience with a fine dining twist.
